2022 Canoeing Trip

Canadian Canoe trip down the River Esk to Whitby on Wednesday 7th September

By popular demand we have arranged another trip from East Barnby Centre , together with a fine weather forecast from the met office!!. We are allowed 12 U3A members and the cost will be £35.00 per person. (this will include their fee together with the cost of fuel for our three cars taking us there.)

As there are limited numbers for this trip (first come first served basis) please book your place by emailing me or in person at our next monthly meeting, when I can pass on more details of the trip to anyone who has not been before.

September 2025 

By popular demand, we are again offering to arrange a trip down the River Esk to Whitby on Wednesday, 10th September. I already have the 12 names needed to make the trip viable, and the cost is £38.00 pp, including car transfer from here to East Barnby. ( £37.00 in 2024 ) As last year, we will leave here at 8 am and return here for Tea.

This date guarantees a high tide (no walking in the river) and fine weather.
