Some of you expressed an interest in the email I sent round regarding the summer school that the Yorkshire & Humber region run.  We now have received an update that I wanted to pass on to you including the application form.  If you would like to find out more or apply for the summer school, please do so direct using the attachments or through the link below.

In the cold of a crisp January morning thoughts of summer and our Summer School may be very far away.  However the arrangements for the school are made, the courses are agreed and booking is open.  

We have ten courses on offer, covering a range of highly varied topics.

• My Generation: Britain through Literature, Art, Poetry and Speeches of the 1960s             
• Conversational Spanish
• Crime Fiction from Sherlock to Vera         
• An Introduction to Practical Geology
• The Changing English Language
• Drama – Intermediate Improvised Drama              
• Making Sense of Everyday Mathematics
• Fungi and Lichens            
• Outdoor Painting and Sketching
• Stained Glass in English Churches Art, Science and Symbolism

The school runs 24th to 27th August 2026 at The Hawkhills, Easingwold.
